A new way to fund creative projects?

Although, I am not familiar with all of the nuts-n-bolts of it, www.kickstarter.com lets you make a proposal for a creative project that you need funding for. Visitors to the site can donate to your cause. Interesting concept. I need to do more research on this.

Highly reccommended watching for designers

Turf Skatepark Unearthed

So, I went skateboarding last weekend for the first time in years. I went to 3 different parks including a great park in Wheeling West Virginia that is all concrete. Bowls and a street course. It brought back memories of all the years that I skated and mostly about skating in my early teens at the Turf Skatepark in Milwaukee, which was closed 15 years ago. This morning I saw that the buildings on that site were knocked down to make room for a road project. Sure enough, someone had the idea to see it the bowls still existed and started shoveling! Check out this news clip to see what they found! I wish I could get back to Milwaukee this weekend.
